It seems to be something to do with Windows 7 signed driver enforcement, but the MediaTek drivers are WHQL.ĭoes anyone have any other suggestions for me to try? Furthermore, beforehand I was using a Netgear wg111v3 adapter, but uninstalled those drivers before opening the new adapter. The modem I use is the Netgear CG3100D-2. If I boot up normally it will connect to my home network, but wont be assigned an IP address and has "limited connectivity". However, I still have to hit F8 to get Internet access. These newer drivers then meant the LED on the adapter was flashing and there were no warning/error symbols in device manager. I then tried the MediaTek RT2870 drivers. I could only get it to work if I disabled driver signature enforcement upon boot up (F8). I installed the drivers that came with the CD. I recently bought a DWA-160 and have had issues getting it to work.
